LIP. Sato: Manga Creator
In his teenage years, he was a dedicated martial artist, immersing himself in wrestling and judo. By his twenties, his love for reading and creating manga took him on a new path. He won a total of five newcomer awards from renowned Japanese magazines such as “Afternoon” and “Young Magazine”. However, despite collaborating with editors on serialization projects, he faced the frustration of falling short of publication—a humbling yet motivating experience.
In his thirties, he devoted himself to managing his family’s restaurant, trading his pen for a chef’s knife. But when the pandemic turned the world upside down, his restless spirit couldn’t be contained. After nearly a decade away, he reignited his passion for creating manga and returned to his artistic roots with renewed energy and focus.
The pen name "LIP" stands for Life is Picnic - a philosophy of embracing life with joy and creativity. Through his manga and illustrations, he finds fulfillment in bringing happiness to others. "With all my heart, I strive to deliver the very best stories and artwork to you!"
